KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (February 26, 2019) – The Standard Process Nutrition Innovation Center launches new, interactive augmented reality tools on human body systems to advance clinical nutrition education experiences for health care practitioners.

Developed in partnership with global health literacy leader, BioDigital, the first of its kind AR tools provide nutrition-focused, three-dimensional medical illustrations on more than 15 body systems to boost practitioner insights on clinical nutrition therapy and improve patient care.

“We are pleased to partner with BioDigital to provide health care practitioners with cutting-edge digital tools that offer robust education experiences on the importance of nutrition therapy and functional nutrition applications on human body systems,” says Dr. John Troup, Standard Process vice president of clinical science, education and innovation. “Thanks to our collaboration, we are successfully encouraging medical professionals to incorporate nutrition science in their clinics to improve patient outcomes.”

Due to the increasing rate and volume of health information and practitioner time demands, Standard Process and BioDigital uniquely designed the easy-to-use learning models to enhance nutrition science engagement, understanding and clinical application.

BioDigital Chief Innovation Officer Aaron Oliker shares, “By working with Standard Process, we’re using the BioDigital Human software platform to enable something that hasn’t been done before in this industry. It’s not just an image. It’s an experience.”

Health care practitioners may access the AR tools through more than 40 Standard Process-sponsored seminars, events and professional education programs. The 3D visualizations also are available on WholisticMatters.com, the company’s digital platform for providing healthcare practitioners with balanced, credible and reliable information on functional and integrative nutrition.
